At the Training Institute, therapists practice psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We emphasize the importance of your commitment to therapy, and a mutual effort to maintain the frequency of sessions. This is essential to the ultimate success of your treatment.
At this time, the Training Institute accepts Aetna insurance.
Some insurance companies may provide out-of-network benefits for behavioral health services. Please contact your insurance company directly to inquire about their policies and procedures.
Fees & Payment
Fees at the Training Institute are simple; the fee for the intake is paid for at the time of the interview, and payments for individual appointments are made at end of each session. Individual intakes are a flat rate of $30 while couple's intakes are $35. After that, our sliding scale fees are based on income and are set by the Clinical Director.
To schedule an appointment requires a commitment from both the patient and therapist. This means the appointment is specifically reserved, and cannot be used for another patient. In order to cancel an appointment, a therapist must be notified 24 hours in advance of the session. If advance notice is not given, or rescheduling is not possible, the fee for the canceled appointment will be charged. In addition, not all holidays warrant cancelation of appointments; even major holidays should be discussed with your therapist.
