INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Training Institute for Mental Health's Internship Program provides the required field education experience for second year master's of social work students and mental health counseling students. The internship program follows the academic calendar beginning in September and ending in the spring according to each student's field calendar. During the year students will have a caseload of individual psychotherapy patients and are expected to have at least eight patient hours per week. Students will also participate in a weekly didactic and group clinical case seminars which are held on Tuesday afternoons. In addition, each student will be paired with an individual supervisor and students are expected to be in their own personal psychodynamic psychotherapy.
